I’ll Be Honest With You . . .

Will I?  Will You?

We could change the world one conversation at a time, if we would simply and lovingly begin to share our truth.

This can feel like an enormous challenge for people-pleasers/approval-suckers and ragers/intimidators alike.  Why?  Because we have to release our fear and allow ourselves to be vulnerable.  We have to accept the fact that the other person may reject us and stand firm in the knowing that Who We Are can never be rejected.  Too, we have to give up manipulation.  We can’t “get our way,” either by going along with everything someone says so that they’ll accept us OR by attempting to scare somebody into agreeing with us.

It’s time to  build our houses on Rock.  To do so, we must align ourselves with our personal Truth and Live genuinely, authentically and with integrity from there.  We must stop smiling on the outside even as we resent on the inside.  Let’s give up the facade of “keeping the peace” and step into “Being the Peace.”

This happens one word, one conversation at a time.  Just as a person addicted to alcohol must think only in terms of the next drink, so it is with these addictions.  With each Soul Choice, we become more empowered, and our small moments lived become our Life Lived.

This is how we contribute to Change.  Not by focusing on everyone out there and how the world would be a much better place if “they” would change.

Let’s take an honest look at where we are lying to ourselves and to each other, even in what seem like small things such as, “No, I’m not feeling angry” (when really you are).

“The Truth Shall Set Us Free” in a big way, YES.

And yet, our day-to-day words, choices and interactions are what make up the Whole Picture.

It is refreshing to get honest with ourselves and share our Truth in a Loving, Gentle manner.

And, it’s like riding a bicycle . . . the more we do it, the easier it becomes . . . until, one day, it is just the natural way of things, in our individual lives and in the Life of the Collective.

Mmmmmm . . . riding along on that upright beach bike with goodies in the basket, a gentle breeze upon my face and a peaceful Heart . . . all because I found the courage to Be and Share Who I Am.

Life is Good . . .

Be Heard

Speak it.

And be Heard.

You know,

sometimes you whisper,

because you feel like you don’t

have much to say . . .

or because

you are afraid of being

Don’t let this stop you;

don’t quiet your voice

so as not to offend.

Know what wishes to be said

Say It.

Speak It.

Dance It.

Sing It.

Paint It.

One way or another,

allow It to come through,

live a life of

agonizing silence.

Not Sacred Silence,

but enforced silence—

be it by you or by another.

Releasing what wants to be shared

puts you in the Flow of Life.

You ride along smoothly and effortlessly

amidst the outer chaos.

You claim your rightful and perfect place

in the Grand Scheme of things,

allowing others to do the same.

Speak it.

And Be Heard.

And all will right Itself.

All . . .

will be well.

Amy Adams is a poet/writer who wishes to serve Humanity and the Cosmos by authentically expressing what it has come to mean to her to be Divinely Human.  Her initial inspiration came from what she calls a “tried and true ‘Dark Night of the Soul’ experience.”  Insights, poems and writings continue to pour through her to this day, and she will write as long as writing is what’s in front of her.  In addition to writing, she enjoys dancing, singing, walking, reading, nature, conversations, playing . . .

Joy has become her guide, and it is her intention to allow Joy to Be contagious, sharing It with everyone she meets through her unique gifts and, ultimately, her Life lived.

“Humaira” is a name that was gifted to her at the time the writings began.  Amy has come to know Humaira as a very clear and wise aspect of her Being, one who is not censored, but who lives naturally, simply and from a place of Aliveness.  When Amy aligns with the “Humaira energy,” a co-creative synergy seems to occur, and it is magical, beyond even the words.
